[00:00:00] Hello, and welcome back to yet another inspirational podcast episode brought to you by yours truly Carina Bull. I'm your truth speaker. Truth seeker, truth keeper, and I'm so glad that you are here with me today.
Hey, it's Carina and welcome back to Soul Medicine with Carina Bull. If you've ever found yourself doing everything alone, holding the house, the emotions, the invisible load, while telling everyone around you. It's fine, I'm fine. But inside your [00:01:00] crumbling, this episode is for you because here's the truth, hardly anyone says out loud, hyper independence isn't strength.
It's a survival strategy. By the end of this episode, you'll understand why you struggle to ask for help, what it's costing your body. Your relationships and your spirit and how to begin receiving support without feeling like you are failing. And in a moment I'm gonna share the deeper truth about why so many sensitive trauma affected women carry the world on their back while telling no one how heavy it really is.
Stay with me. And while you are here, make sure you follow soul medicine. So you never miss an episode. You are the woman who holds it all the appointments, the [00:02:00] emotions, the household, the cries that no one else even notices. You are the one they come to. The steady one. The capable one, the one who doesn't break.
But here's your truth, you are exhausted in a way that sleep can't fix, and you've spent so many years carrying everything yourself that you don't even know what leaning feels like anymore.
Hyper independence is not a personality trait. It's a wound that learnt how to walk. It's what happens when you learn early on that asking for help [00:03:00] made things worse. Your needs weren't safe. Vulnerability came with consequences. You were easier to love when you didn't need anything, so you became the one who handles everything, the one who doesn't need support, the one who never falls apart, where others can see.
And yes, it kept you safe, but it's costing you now more than you realize.
Notice what happens in your body when I say this. You don't have to do this alone anymore.
Does your chest tighten? Does your stomach clench? Do you feel a flicker of panic? [00:04:00] That reaction is your nervous system. Remembering that asking for help was once dangerous. You are not resisting support because you're stubborn. You are resisting it because your body still believes that needing someone equals pain.
You were never meant to be self-sufficient. You were meant to be supported. Your strength was never meant to replace connection. Your independence was never meant to become isolation, and just because no one held you before doesn't mean no one will hold you. Now, just because it was doesn't mean it will be.
This is exactly what I work with in [00:05:00] Reiki Tarot and coaching, not teaching you how to be stronger. You already know how to survive, but helping your nervous system learn what safety feels like when you are not carrying everything alone. Reiki softens that armor, tarot mirrors the patterns behind the independence and coaching helps you to learn how to receive without guilt, fear, or self abandonment.
Now let's just take a moment to drop into the body. Okay, so I invite you to place a hand on your heart. Hand on your solar plexus. Just breathe in
and on the exhale, let your shoulders drop even slightly.[00:06:00]
Now, ask your body, not your mind. What am I still carrying alone that I wasn't meant to?
And where could I let someone support me even a little.
Let whatever rises rise.
You don't have to be the strong one every day. You don't have to hold. The world on your back, you get to be held to and when you are ready to stop carrying everything alone, I'll be here ready and waiting.
[00:07:00] Before I go today, please don't forget to follow the podcast, so soul medicine can reach the women who need this work the most. And if this episode spoke to you. Please share it with someone who's been holding everything alone with love Carina.
