Hi, it's Carina and welcome back to Soul Medicine with Carina Bull. You are not confused. You are questioning something you already know is true. You feel it in the moment, something happens and your body reacts instantly. Then your mind steps in softens [00:01:00] it explains it, gives it context. And within seconds, you are no longer standing in the truth.

You already know. You just don't stay there. This isn't about fixing that today. This is about seeing what happens the moment truth lands and why it doesn't hold, because there's a pattern here and we're gonna move through it slowly together. This is the loop. You feel something clearly. Then you question it, you notice something fills off.

Then you tell yourself it's probably nothing. You recognise a pattern. Then you minimise it from the outside, it looks like thoughtfulness, but internally it's constant correction, constant editing of your own [00:02:00] perception, and it's exhausting. You trust yourself for a second, then you override it. You feel something clearly, but you talk yourself out of it.

Just as quickly. You tell yourself you are being rational, but your body has already registered the truth. When you've learned that your perception isn't always safe to trust, you start adjusting it to maintain stability so you don't stay with what's true. You reshape it so you lose your own signal. You stop knowing what's real and what's edited.

You stay in situations longer than your body agrees with you. Keep engaging in ways that don't feel clean, and over time you don't trust yourself, [00:03:00] not because you can't feel truth. But because you don't let it stand, that's what creates emotional exhaustion, not life itself, but the constant overriding of what you already know.

You don't trust your knowing.

I just want you to notice what happens in your body when you hear that, where you contract, where you resist. Where something in you wants to disagree, and I want you to just stay with that for a moment.

You have to remember too that this didn't come from nowhere. At some point, trusting yourself had a cost, so you adapted. You learned to question yourself [00:04:00] before anyone else could. You learn to soften your perce perception to stay connected, to stay safe.

Just because it was doesn't mean it will be. And this isn't something you have to think your way out of because the pattern isn't logical, it's protective. So the shift isn't more clarity. It's your system feeling safe enough to stop overriding what it already knows. If this is landing, don't sit in your head with it.

This is the kind of pattern that only shifts when your body settles. So start with the ground clear and protection meditation in the show notes. This is what it's designed for, but right now I just want you to bring your attention to your breath.[00:05:00]
