Episode #5 – Drowning in Self-Doubt? How to Rebuild Your Confidence
===
[00:00:00] Welcome back to yet another inspirational podcast episode brought to you by yours truly, Carina from Healergy. I'm your truth speaker, truth seeker, truth keeper, and I am so glad that you're here with me today
Hello, hello, hello. Welcome back. And a quick recap before we start the session today. Last time we spoke about the star, those glimmers of light that appear after the tower falls. Now, the moon is different, okay? [00:01:00] It's the in-between, where you can't quite see what's next, where every step forward feels like walking barefoot on wet sand.
Soft, shifting, a little uncertain, and sometimes even feeling bogged down, like you might sink if you stand still for too long. The moon is where your healing is happening quietly, deep below the surface, even when it doesn't look like or feel like progress. I know this place intimately. I've walked through those seasons where life felt foggy and distorted, where I couldn't see two steps ahead and everything I thought I knew about myself was dissolving.
And for so long, I minimized what I had been through. I told myself it wasn't that bad. I [00:02:00] pretended I was fine. But the truth, it was that bad. And yet somehow I survived it. Fuck knows how, but I did. And somehow I found a tiny ember in the dark, just bright enough to keep me moving forward There were nights I'd sit outside under the stars with my little dog, Einstein, feeling like I didn't quite belong here on Earth, and yet also sensing I was connected to something vast and wise beyond the noise of everyday life.
Those were my moon seasons, the in-between, the cocoon where everything felt unfamiliar, but something sacred was happening just beneath the surface. And maybe you've been here too. Maybe you're right here now as I speak, [00:03:00] where the old version of you no longer fits, but the new version hasn't fully arrived yet.
Where you feel suspended, no longer who you were, but not quite who you're becoming. And in that in-between space, your shadows rise. Old wounds resurface, fears whisper louder, doubts about whether you're really healed creep in. You might even wonder, "Am I going backwards?" And the answer to that is you're not.
Okay? You're simply in a moon season, and this is part of the work. And I'll be honest, even for me, this isn't easy. I have a Virgo moon in my astrology, which means I crave clarity, order, and neat timelines. I want to know the plan, map the next steps, and tick the boxes. But the moon [00:04:00] card offers none of that.
Diddly squat, in fact. And maybe you've noticed this in yourself too. When life gets foggy, what do you reach for? You know, is it control? Clarity? Maybe even distraction? And I'll admit, I'll often reach for food, but that's probably a whole nother podcast episco- episode. And yet, it's all connected because the moon illuminates the depths of our emotions, the parts of us we often try to soothe, silence, or avoid.
The moon asks us to walk by feel, not by sight, okay? To trust our inner knowing more than the noise around us. Not everything is meant [00:05:00] to be revealed yet, and that's okay. The fog isn't a punishment, it's protection. It's timing. These in-between moments are where quiet transformation takes root, where the old falls away so something truer can rise.
And yes, you've heard me say this before because it's true. Just because it was, doesn't mean it will be. And in my work, it's safe for you to create your own story instead of living someone else's. To say no to what doesn't feel aligned. To take the first small steps towards a life you want. You know, the bridge between what was and what can be So if you're in a moon season right now, you're not lost, you're not behind, [00:06:00] you're becoming, okay?
And you might feel like you've fallen off the path, strayed, even deviated, like a naughty dog that's wandered off too far from home. But here's what I want you to know. The path hasn't disappeared. It's still there, quietly waiting for you. And at some stage, when the timing feels right, you will step back onto it.
And what you're feeling now, that hesitation, the doubt, that's fear speaking, not failure, and there's a difference. There's nothing wrong with you for being here. This too is a part of the healing So when you're ready, I invite you to just take a moment, [00:07:00] hand on heart, and breathe deeply in through your nose.
Hold for three counts and exhale slowly
And whisper to yourself, "I trust what I feel even when I can't yet see."
And in our next episode, we'll explore what happens when the fog begins to lift, how to integrate the insights we've gathered in the dark and bring them into grounded, embodied action. Because healing isn't just about surviving the night, it's about [00:08:00] learning how to live in the light that follows. Until next time, just because it was, doesn't mean it will be.
With love, Carina.
